I believe life is not a sprint but a marathon, where independence comes with responsibility but freedom comes with financial independence.
For me, education has never been limited to only books. Being my father’s girl who always encouraged me to actively participate in sports from hockey to volleyball, I also developed keen interest in learning to drive a two- & four- wheeler at a young age. My special inclination towards bike riding started since then.
I am born and brought up in Pune. Later, I completed my schooling in Bhopal. I was born in a family where education has always been of great importance. I was an all rounder as a young girl but my pure love for painting was inculcated into me genetically. Apart from painting, I wrote articles on the current issues by keeping myself updated. I had represented my school at the State level as a ‘Girl Guide’.
I started conducting classes for those in need from my 9th standard. I was very sure about the stream that I wanted to get into when the time arrived for me to make a choice. Along with my studies, I had joined a TV and radio repairing hands on course at component level in my 2nd year. Those four years of my engineering graduation had been a wholesome experience of learning new skills and implementation of the theoretical knowledge.
I started my career as a Hardware engineer for a company in the era where people chose buying assembled computers over the branded ones. I explored my work thoroughly and enjoyed the same while working at the chip level maintenance. After months of experience, I started my journey as a teacher at the Government Polytechnic, Kolhapur.
I have been associated with Vidyalankar Institute of Technology since 2004. It has given me immense joy of participative work culture. It provided us with the freedom of work as well as a platform for exchange and sharing of ideas.
I had read it somewhere that, ‘moments are created. They do not just happen.’ I am fortunate enough to be in this noble profession and understand that it as a great responsibility of creating tomorrow’s capable youth who are not just an asset to the nation but to their own self too.
